ACT at Cornell Question

Does Cornell Superscore the ACT? If so...I'd be in better shape....my two sittings are:
ACT comp: 32
E: 31
M: 34
R: 32
S: 29

ACT Comp: 31
E: 35
M: 33
R: 27 (ran out of time!)
S: 31

Superscore ACT: 33
E: 35
M: 34
R: 32
S: 31

I'm trying the SAT in the fall anyway...but still, superscore would help a bit.

I don’t think so. I would just send your individual highest composite.

I asked a rep at a college fair about this, they don’t superscore the ACT, just the SAT.

I’ve heard that they do superscore the individual components, but don’t calculate a new composite.

^ Where did you hear that?

I’d call the admissions office about the ACT and superscoring. I remember hearing that they didn’t superscore it. However, those aren’t bad ACT scores for Cornell I believe.

A 32 is in the 98th percentile, pretty good if you ask me

I heard it here on Cornell CC. I believe someone called Cornell and asked. I’m sure a quick search on the forum could reveal more answers. This has been asked several times.

It doesn’t make sense to not consider the individual scores from multiple sittings. It’s the same policy as the SAT, except SAT composites are arithmetic, whereas ACT composites are geometric.

I called last year and from what I remember they superscore it in CALS.

Thanks for all the input!
