Act better with/without Sat IIs?

I know that most colleges don’t require SAT IIs with ACT. I did pretty well on my ACT (34), would taking SAT IIs increase my chance for admission?

It really depends on the schools - please see the info here:

Look up he admission requirements via Common App or college websites for a few schools you are interested in. Policies vary pretty widely. top school - especially in STEM areas like SAT 2s (i am not as familiar with the LACs but I heard Georgetown wants 3 SAT subject tests.)

Are you applying to STEM major? As CA1543 said, typically those are the programs that want them. For example, UCLA and UCB say for engineering majors, “it is strongly recommended” that they take a science and math SAT II. “Strongly recommends” should be interpreted to mean TAKE THEM! But most schools do not require them. As a guidance counselor told us, if they are good, even if they don’t require them, it is one additional piece of information that can be used to evaluate you and maybe give you an edge. However, if taking them causes hardship or stress, you have to decide if having that additional piece of info is really worth it. With a 34 ACT, I would only take them if required by the schools you are applying to, or you are trying to demonstrate mastery in a certain subject that you are comfortable with. One of mine had 5 years of French, so it was worth rocking that one. But keep in mind, a 4 or 5 on an AP test can basically show the same thing.
