ACT Books

Hi guys :)

So I've been studying for the September test throughout this summer (hoping it'll be my last take) and I'm wondering a few things about books I should use.

So far, I've already finished all the test practices in the official ACT red book-I really liked how it seemed close to the actual test.

I'm not using McGraw-Hill's 10 ACT Practice Test book. I'm a little concerned because every section besides the English seems to be easier. This is odd because I usually score best in English and I can tell it seems different from the actual one anyway.

I'm trying to figure out which books YOU guys have liked personally. My tutor did tell me that McGraw-Hill's book is a little bit easier, but I should use it for practice anyway. He's giving me old versions of the ACTs that I'm going to do timed on the weekend.

I just want to be sure I have the right material and won't be too frustrated when I do the actual test. Hopefully I'll get a 30+ this time around!

Thanks.

Are older ACT books relevant? As in 2011?

I personally used the Princeton Review combined with some Kaplans and got a 35. But different books work for different people.
If you are talking about the Real Act book (red book), I’ve heard many positive reviews about it.
I took the ACT in the past year and used many books before 2011, so I would say from personal experience that it is relevant and useful.
Hope I helped! :)
