<p>I see online that the scores for the ACT come in between 32-34 on average but does anyone have the breakdown? I thought I read that while they take your composite, they don't really I count your science or writing score. </p>
<p>Here is a breakdown from an unofficial source from a year or so ago (although about.com tends to be reputable). <a href=“Vanderbilt University: Acceptance Rate, SAT/ACT Scores, GPA”>http://collegeapps.about.com/od/collegeprofiles/p/Vanderbilt.htm</a> As I am sure you are aware, Vanderbilt looks at students in a “holistic manner” so I’m sure that if a student scores really high in three of the ACT areas then one comparatively lower score won’t completely sink your chances. Because I am not an admissions officer I don’t know how much weight they put on specific sections. I personally have not heard anything related to not taking parts of the SAT into question, but it is relatively common for sections of the SAT to not be considered… but who knows now that they are changing the SAT…</p>
