I just got my application packet for the ACT and I noticed that you can only have up to 6 scores sent. If I send my score to the naval academy I obvioulsy have to send a score to at least one senator and my congressmen so I have a good chance at getting a nomination. I am confident that I will be a competitive applicant, but if I don't get in I have to have a back up plan. Which would be NROTC Marine Option, but that requires another code, and you have to send codes to the colleges you put on the NROTC application. If I did that I would need to be able to send at least 8 codes. What should I do?

Most high schools include SAT/ACT scores on transcripts. Most colleges, service academies, and MOCs will accept SAT/ACT scores if they are provided as part of an official high school transcript.

Also, the testing agencies will allow you to request that they send additional to other schools after the test has been taken.

yeah you just have have to pay to have additional score reports sent. If you are not registering online, I would because it makes it easier to figure all of this stuff out. You can see how much you would have to pay to have additional reports sent. Btw I would apply to both your senators just in case, not just one.

send your scores to BOTH senators AND your representative AND the ACADEMY. then pay the additional $7.50 or whatever the amount is to send to your backup school(s). its not that much money.

Also, on the ACT site, there is a specific code for NROTC Navy-Marine Scholarship.
The code is 0656 and here's the specific link:
http://www.actstudent.org/cgi-bin/codes/sr/sc_lookup.pl

Alright, I know I'm going to send USNA one of my original scores, but shoud I put senators and a congressmen on there too, or have NROTC and backup schools. Or does it not matter either way?

I would suggest that you check with your "backup" schools, to see if they will accept test scores listed on your transcript (many will). NROTC will accept scores either directly from a test center, or on your transcript. The following is a quote directly from NROTC on this subject:

"In addition to completing your online application, if you have not already done so, you must release your SAT or ACT test scores to the NROTC Scholarship Program (Code 0656) through the testing agency. Score release can be accomplished on your test registration form or via an additional report request form that can be obtained from your recruiter. The test date must be between December 2005 and December 2007. The minimum scores required for further consideration are listed below.

SAT - 530 Critical Reading and 520 Math or ACT - 22 English and 22 Math

Your high school can also deliver a copy of your score report provided by the testing agency to your recruiter. The extra expenditure of "rush release" is considered unnecessary."

I would also apply for a VP nomination but you do not have to send him scores. The scores for that nomination are taken from the scores you send to the academy.
