Can you send your scores even if the writing score isn’t posted?

Justin:

I don’t think so.

And it sucks because I need to send this score in

I need to send them in very soon.
When will we get the writing score?

It depends, it could take up to 3 weeks but that’s the very latest. I suspect that it should be out in the next couple of days…

Can’t edit my above post, but MIT’s admit rate last year was actually 8.9%, not 9.7%. Silly me!

On topic, my little sis did quite well for her first (and last) sitting on the ACT!

You guys may want to call admissions at your colleges and ask if they will accept it a few days late. Make sure to tell them ACT is delaying the scores. ;)

C:29
E:31
M:29
R:26
S:29

Not happy but not complaining, composite went up a point. I was hoping for a 30 but that reading really hurt.

36/36/36/34, comps to a 36.

How many people nationally get 36’s every year, anyway?

<0.1% of test takers get a 36.

.04% to be exact

So is there a correlation between those who score 36 and their use of the internet? Cause there happen to be a lot of them on here…makes me question things a bit. ;)

The majority of CCers who say they have 36’s simply do not.

I’ve already seen several people on CC with 35.5s from this past ACT…talk about good fortune

Well, high scorers are going to be waaaay overrepresented on a forum like this. I don’t think it’s all that outrageous to suggest that out of the ~1000 36’s in the country that a solid 10 or 20 are on here.

Yea I’m gonna venture a guess that a guy w/ 3 posts called yoloswagblazeit did not actually get a 36.

My score:
31 comp
28 eng
33 math
29 read
35 sci

For a first take w/ no prep I am pumped, will take again in Feb and then be done with it.

I worked hard for mine. It took a good few months of prep and I went from a 31 to a 36.

@T26E4 You sound quite cynical. The statistics you’ve posted don’t even MENTION the science section. Although I might have a better chance since I’m a girl.
I’m a really dedicated physics student and I was quite shocked by the science score myself, but then there is so little time given to analyse all the information properly. Well, that is no excuse. But, I don’t believe MIT is looking for robots. I still have my essays, GPA and extracurriculars.

C: 29 (29.25)
E: 28 (don’t know what happened here)
M: 31 (extremely disappointed. i wouldn’t mind a 29 composite as long as I did well on math. Never got below 34 on practice tests)
R: 31 (really happy with this. i always got 28-29 on act practice tests)
S: 27 (meh… i was tired)

In general, i’m really disappointed. I did all 5 practice tests and the lowest composite i ever got was 32, with reading as 28-29 bringing my score down. Guess it’s time to buy more books and register for April.

Just got an essay score of 10. Will do since I got 9 the first time.

I got a 9 on my essay, again. Ugh.
