ACT: Easy Way Out

The ACT is definutly the easiest way out. It is easier than the SAT, some schools dont require SAT2's if you have the ACT, and the Ivy League ACT scores are fairly low for Ivy standards (28-34 range? come on!)

So why do people take the SAT? Why did I take the SAT? My friend (who is MILDLY smart) got a 1380 CR+M and a 2050 composite and got a 33 on the ACT!!! Which is equivalent to my SAT score supposedly (2220). ITS NOT FAIR :(((((

easy bud. it’s a different type of test. some people get the same scores, some people are better at the act, some are better at the sat.

And since when is a 28-34 low? The lower side is, but the mid-upper isn’t. That’s a 1930-2330. It’s a wide range…

I found the SAT much easier than the ACT, and scored better on the SAT. It depends on the person. They are 2 very diff. tests.

honestly, who cares what tests other people take and what they score? waste of energy all the way around. worry about your own score.

^i agree with all of them.

depends on who you are. if you think the ACT is better for you, then take it. no one is stopping you -_- they are two very different tests buddy.

oh and that range is not low. 34? dang man, that’s basically a 2300.

yeah- it really depends on the person.
My ACT is around 150 points higher than my SAT on most conversion scales, but I have a friend who could only get a 28 ACT yet has a 2140 SAT.

The ACT isn’t easier- it’s just different. They still base scores on percentiles, which is what really matters.

Yeah, which is good for me, because my ACT totally owned my SAT, percentile-wise and “conversion”-wise.

yeah like johnson181 i was able to do about 150 point higher than the SAT on the ACT. and a 30 on the ACT is considered the 97th percentile. So basically I did better than 97 percent of the people who took the ACT. SAT not so much.

it depends on who you are like forizzle said
