NOTE that the original thread is in Transfer Students, so I reposted this for it to be in the SAT and ACT prep forum.
So on my December ACT test I had quite a few erasure marks for each section, with at least 2-3 per section. Some of the erasure marks were relatively heavy because of my apparantly crappy eraser, and I’m worried that my already-bad score of 29-31 will lower even more just because of that. Will eraser marks (especially the ones that aren’t clean and leave a gray patch on an oval) affect my ACT score? Please answer, as I’m really paranoid right now.
You need to relax. You’ve posted about your ACT score (which you don’t even have yet) in two other threads:

All you can do is wait for your score, like everyone else. Part of growing up is knowing you’ve completed a task to the best of your ability, and then move on to the next task. When something is out of your control (like your score or stray marks), there’s no sense worrying about it.
If you end up re-taking, just use a new, clean, high quality eraser. Then you won’t have to worry about being paranoid afterwards.
