Alright so I am aiming for a 36 on the ACT I am taking saturday. On my first ACT I got a 34 with minimal prep so I hope I can somehow pull of a 36!
Anyway, does anyone know how many questions I can miss per section in order to still get a 36? All of the websites and books I have looked at have varying answers to my "crucial" question and I would love a straight answer.
With that being said...
THANK YOU for your help and good luck to all test takers! You will all do well!

There is no answer. It all depends on how hard the test is and how hard the section is. 75% of the time, you need to get every question right in every section to get a 36. However, some tests allow 1 or 2 questions wrong and you can still get a 36. But you dont necessarily need a 36 on all sections. You can get a 36, 36,35,36 or 35,35,36,36 or even 36,36,36,34. On science, the curve is usually harsh with -1 = 34 but sometimes it is more generous. English and math are almost always -1 = 35. Reading is really unpredictable.

Just like cortana431 said, it all depends. To be safe, don’t miss more than 2, and if you miss any, make sure that none lie in the science section.

Thanks! And do Stanford and the ivies superscore ACTs?
