So i have alot more experience with the SAT essay than the ACT. Ive looked at a few ACT prompts and they all seem like you cant use the normal examples from literature for them like the SAT. Are you supposed to use literary examples?

I would definitely use a wide range of examples. For my essays I have used Fahrenheit 451, Rosa Parks, Adlai Stevenson the first and second, Tshering Tobgay, Atilla the Hun, and quotes. Here are some good ones.

“The philosophy of the school room in one generation will be philosophy of the government in the next.”

David Allen: “you can do anything, but not everything.”

Thomas Jefferson: “I find that the harder I work, the more luck I seem to have.”

MLK: “intelligence plus character- that is the goal of true education.”
