So i did pretty well on the ACT and got a composite score of 32. However, on the essay for some reason i didn't do so great and got a 7. I'm wondering if this is going to be a huge turnoff for schools or not. I got a 4 on the AP Lang. and Comp. exam so i think this shows i'm capable of writing well. I guess i'm just wondering what are your guys' opinions on this?

What schools are you interested in applying to? Some schools that may not superscore will still take the highest writing score from all of your tests. Still, most schools don’t require the writing or simply use it to check the validity of your essays. A 7 is just a little bit away from an 8, which is usually considered an acceptable score, so you should be fine. Don’t worry about it and concentrate on killing your college application essays.
