ACT essay (writing) v/s the SAT essay?

so, how different is the ACT essay section from the SAT essay?
i am well versed with the SAT Essay writing but have no clue about the ACT one.
how different are they from each other.
how can i write a better essay on ACT?
any other tips and suggestions for ACT?

thanks :)

From what I read in prep books, the biggest difference is that at least one point in the ACT essay, you should address the argument of your opposition and then explain why it is wrong. In the SAT essay, it is not as important to address the other side’s argument.

Also, the ACT essay is 30 min long while the SAT one is only 25 minutes long.

hey.
so like, in SAT essay we used to stick to just one opinion and give 3 examples format for the same.
in ACT, we have to take both stance?

^
No. You need to address and refute the counterarguments. You’re only arguing for one side.

It’s the one expectation that’s not utterly unrelated to what you’ll need to do in college-level writing.
