ACT essay

so for the essay part, we just take a side....give examples and support....and put up a counter arguement and conclusion.

Am I getting this right?
& also how many examples should we use?

i worked with my ap lit teacher, and she said that we should aim to be specific with our examples, so as to best “paint a picture or image” for the reader. General apparently is boring and not a very high score( i should know, i usually write general stuff and boring essays and I always got really bad scores).

2 to 3 examples. use variety such as personal stories, politics, business, music, historical figures, science etc. I would put the best one at the end. also, start with an interesting first sentence.
