<p>I have heard that your score can go down if it does get rescored. I wouldn’t waste my money though on rescoring an 8. An 8 is a decent score and the ACT writing doesn’t mean that much anyway. Good luck.</p>

<p>How do you think you did on the essay? My D felt she did well, that is why we had it rescored. I thought it was worth the time, sending the letter. We sent a $30 check but haven’t received a refund yet, although they changed her score to a 10 from an 8 on the essay. If I don’t get a refund soon, I will write to them. I think it is worth it to try especially if you feel you did reasonably well and you are looking to go to a top school. I doubt they will lower your score.</p>
