ACT Feb. 7th!

Okay, I have been practicing for the past 2 months getting 29's. Today was so much harder than any practice ACT! I blew the math section the worst and then science! Plus my essay sucked! Anyone blow their scholarship dreams like me today?

I agree. The end of the math section was grueling and a few of the science studies were just incomprehensible for the time given. The essay, however, was not that awful.

English was very easy
Math was MUCH harder than I expected it would be, but still not terribly hard
Reading was very easy
Science was a nightmare
Writing was even more of a nightmare

i thought english was very easy but i'm really good at grammar.. and i got a 36 in english in december. math was okay but yeah towards the end it was pretty tough. (i got a 34 in dec)
reading.. well reading's not my best (last time i got a 32) but i felt like i tried my hardest so i should hopefully get at least a 30.
science.. at least there werent any conflicting viewpoints passages or things you had to read a lot. i think i really bombed the last passage though because i guessed on it completely. i always use up the science time completely.

the writing shouldnt have been that hard, but mine really sucked.
i'm really hoping there's a nice curve.

I think I did okay. The middle of the math section was really ****ing me off though. I wa relieved when we got to the writing though, because the prompt was so generic and easy.

I think the content on today's test was a LOT easier than the December one.

NO WAY! I did so much better on the December one.

I bombed science but other than that i thought it went really well. Did anyone else do this?

^me too! science... not good. well actually i think it was okay except the very last passage. that killed me.

What did you think of the essay prompt? I thought it was kind of hard to take a side.

I didn't even take a side. I just rambled on about God knows what!

I took a side. This is the general layout I use for writing:

P1: Intro
P2: Literary Example
P3: Historical Example
P4: Personal Example
P5: Conclusion

It's worked so far. I got a 12 in Dec. from using it.

English was fine, and math was easy. Reading and science were terrible...

English and Reading were easy. (I thought that English and Rading were easier than December...especially Reading)
Math had some harder questions, but weren't too bad. (Maybe a little worse than December)
Science..urg. I really messed up on the last passage and one other passage. (I thought the December science was alot easier.)

-English was really easy.
-Math was really easy, but I'm a math guy.
-Reading was MUCH easier than I'm used to. I bombed that on my practice test and I feel like I did much better. However...
-Science. I bombed it. On my practice test I did well, but I feel like I did worse.
-Essay seemed like a juvenile topic. No idea how I did.

I haven't taken the test since 8th grade, when I took it for a Talent Search and got 33. Just hoping I didn't score any lower...
