Did anybody else have a hard time with the Science portion?
That killed me - time-wise. =_="

what was the one abt why researchers are worried. and teh last math question abt f(x) and g(x)

What was the last math question?

and spazattack, I copied down the wrong statement too, so don't feel bad, lol.

I put C for the last math question. I don't know if that was right.
What question about why the researchers were worried?

The answer to the last math question was y<g(x) and="" y="">h(x). (choice a)</g(x)>

I had to make an x/y table for both functions and then graph em to figure it out. Lucky for me, I had 5 minutes at the end of the math section just for that problem.

are there different science sections? i dont remember the worried researcher question

yeah woohaa, i either put C or A. I couldn't decide if it was "and" or "or." The inequalities had to be between the 2 lines.

^Thanks. Does anyone remember any of the conflicting scientific views questions? I came to those last, and I had to rush through them.

spaz - I think the worried researcher one was part of the reading section

i honestly don't remember the social science passage at all..

IB- I did that one last too because those tend to be tricky. I remember the first question had to do with the 1:2 ratio. I chose A which was 1/2.

Yeah it was 1/2.

ok...the science test seemed really easy but I guess I went too slow because it was the only test I didn't have time to finish. I had to guess on the last siiiix questions. I got a 31 on the science section last time and was hoping to do better. what're the chances of that? does anyone know how the science portion is graded (I know it's different everytime depending on the difficulty level) - but any general ideas about scores for range of q's right?

jl08 i wasnt able to finish science section as well while finished all others on time, should have rushed myself a bit

I thought the last passage in Science was on of the easier ones. =[

I remember for math that I got 97 for the ruler question, 72 for the angle (the pentagon one I think), and what was the matrix one? I think I had:

[3 8 5 5 3] *

[4]
[7]
[8]
[9]
[10]

No, the answer to the pentagon was 54. They gave you a picture of a pentagon with one angle labeled 108 and two diagonals going through the pentagon. The question asked for the angle measure of one of the angles bisected by the diagonal. Thus 54.

OMG I HATED THE MATRIX PROBLEM. That was the only one I had NO idea on in the entire ACT. We went over matrices for like 1 day in 6th grade so I forgot everything about it.

Just by educated guessing I got it to that one IBProc posted and the one that was just like it but reversed. I hope I put the one IBProc posted =]

Are you sure about that? I put not enough info.

Yeah IB I got those two answers. For the matrix one, I remember there were two answers that contained those sets of numbers. I didn't know which one was right, but I picked the first one. It was either B or C. I think B though.

@avant-garde: I'm amazed you remember the specifics. The math part was a blur to me.

EDIT: Yeah, I also put not enough info as well.

Oh, and it definitely was 72, because it was a hexagon, not a pentagon
