ACT grading

Is the ACT graded on a set conversion scale, or does it change according to the results of different test dates?

Before you walk into a test the number of questions you need to answer correctly in a section to score any particular number on the. 0-36 scale is pre-determined. The particular number of correct answers needed for any particular score can vary somewhat from test to test. For example, ACT has some tests for which one wrong on the science section drops you to a 34 in the section, while for most it only drops you to 35.
