act harder this time?

was the act actually harder than the last one that was offered? just curious.

I thought English was roughly the same, Reading was easier, Science was about the same, but Math was much much harder than the February Act.

for the love of god please be lenient on the curve

how do they decide on the curve?

it depends on how the nation does as a whole

well i hope the nation did terrible. =P

^^^ no…the curve is predetermined from what I hear

English: Easier, though last time was easy as well.
Reading: Slightly easier. Passages seemed slightly more straightforward.
Science: About the same. Maybe a touch easier.
Math: Noticeably harder - ran short on time unlike last time.

am I the only one who thought reading was harder?! last time I got a 33 and the passages were much more interesting… I think I’ll probably get closer to a 30 this time. math was 20x harder, English was the same, and science was about the same, maybe a little harder! I’m hoping that since this test was so difficult the next one may be better!!

I took it in April for the first time btw

First time taking it but I thought English, math, and reading were really easy and science was awful. The essay was decent.

Isn’t the point of a curve to normalize scores? How can it be predetermined?

I’ve taken the two ACT’s prior to this one, and I found the math to be significantly harder than usual.

I did better on English and science, similar or worse on reading, and way worse on math. Math was DEFINATELY harder than the April test.

math was noticeably harder

and for science it was easier

English was extremely easy, although there were some debatable ones.
Math was super duper harder. I scored 31’s in the Red Book, but I had to bubble in C or H for a bunch I couldn’t answer.
Reading was okay, I mean the questions for pretty straightforward, but I didn’t have enough time to answer one passage, so I bubbled in C or H.
Science was hard, too. I’m able to finish all of the science without major problems in the Red Book, but I was lost for the most part in science.

Overall, THIS TEST WAS SO FREAKING HARD. Except the English.
