ACT help!

So I signed up for the ACTs and my test is in Septemeber. Ive been studying the real ACT study book here and there and I know i should start being serious and study for this. For those that took the ACTs is it difficult? Is it hard to get a 26 composite score? And is it way easier than the SATs?

Good job doing it in Sept (the curve is much nicer then)

You have the Real ACT red book that’s great. Is a 26 hard? you tell me. Take a practice test under real conditions and test yourself on how you do.

Compared to the SAT (i’ll assume you’ve taken it)

English/Reading: MUCH MUCH MUCH more straight forward. The level of reading in these two sections is 8th-9th grade. You must learn the rules for english, and be able to read both fast/effectively for reading. TIME is your enemy for the ACT. Not difficulty.

Math: The concepts on the Math ACT are more difficult. (Trig, harder Alg2) But again is much much more straight forward. Practice. (don’t do Red book # 1) i got a 32. I max out at 27 on the real ones.

Science: Practice makes perfect. Many students panic when they see very complex graphs and very detailed explanations. Don’t be. Apart from Competing scientists the entire test (33/40) is reading graphs. You don’t need outside info (though it might help) (knowing PH 1-6 acid, 7 neutral, 8-12 base) just one example.

^^^^ PRACTICE! When you get questions wrong read the explanation. And if you don’t know the concept relearn it. I got a 28 ALL three times i took it. )= practice otherwise you’ll flat-line.
