ACT how prep?

I just took the ACT and I recieved my scores early online and I did so bad, I got a 24. My question is how does one adequately prepare to take the ACT? I am a good student (3.94 GPA UW and a hard course load w/ AP and honors) this terrible score just boggles my mind, I don't understand how I can do so well and understand everything @ school, but then not perform well on the ACT? I am so FRUSTRATED!!!!!! Any advice to help me improve my score to @ least 30 or above (that's the score I need for scholarships)

Do practice tests, go to your local bookstore and read the prep books such as princeton review.
