ACT in September

Hi,

I'm going to be a senior and I am debating whether or not to take the ACT for a third time in September. The only thing holding me back is that my top school uses a rolling admissions process; meaning the earlier you turn in an application, the earlier you hear back with a decision. My scores are 28 and 27 (which are about average for the school I want to go to) and I'm hoping for a 29 or 30. Should I take the ACT again or should I just settle with what I have?

Thanks!

If you’re taking the September one it shouldn’t affect rolling admissions. And if its you’re third time it’s fine because I believe colleagues only see your most recent act score unlike the sat.

Its not that they see the most recent one. They see whatever you submit. If you submit more than one test to the school because they do super score than they see the other scores. I’m taking it for a third time also haha

yeah a lot of schools claim that they don’t super score but I don’t see how they can’t… if a student sends more than 1 test then they’re obviously going to look at both. but yeah I just don’t know if I want the added stress of the ACT on top of college admissions if my super scored results are pretty goodz

They will look at both and use the single test that benefits the applicant the most. That is normally based on the composite. Not many schools super score the ACT.
