@JonDrums: I would hardly call a 32 a “horrible” test. Some people would kill for that score. Obviously it’s all subjective, but a 32 is NOT something to hit yourself on the head over (particularly because it was your first time taking it).

@zach12, for your 36 in reading, did you have 18s as your two subscores?

Anyone from ny receive their score?

HAHA screw it i’m gonna finish undeclared first too nervous

For my 36 in Reading I had two 18s.

^^ I didn’t have a 36 in reading, but aboveblues did.

I got a 35 with two 18’s

@Greywolf I’m a little confused, although I looked through the FAQs and they said that subscores don’t directly correlate to the test score. I had two 18s, but got a 35 in reading. I also had two 18s on the April test, but got a 36. Is there just more to the scoring than the two subscores they show us?

Does anyone know the reading curve?

I really don’t know what i miss.

Considering what people are saying, I’d say this:
-0=36
-1=35
-2=34
-3=33
-4=32
-5=31
-6=30
-7=29

As there are not 18 questions per sub-section, it is possible that rounding may be the primary cause of a disparity between subscores and overall scores. E.g. one might get 39/40 problems right on the reading section and so have two 18s (rounding up for one), but with a curve of -0, have not acquired a 36.

Sigh…

I’m guessing it was harsh because there are a lot of people that got two eighteens as a subscore and got a 35
