ACT June 2010 - Science

I said 1 and 3 but that was sortof a guess cause I was running out of time.

Failed reading and science >.<

The ball temporarily stopped at points A and B.

Was there a dueling scientist this time?

Yeah thats what I meant. It is fastest at point L.

^ wait what??? are you sure?? I thought it was the 3rd person only…

1 and 3 was a choice? I picked 2 and 3 for ball stopping.
section about water??? why do graphs of 2 big ugly words look similar to graph of other big ugly word???

Was O2 bubbled in the tank…?

1 def. stops. So that was automatically the same.

What section about water? the one with the different fields? Ehh…that was one I guessed for. why are the graphs of e2, o2, and s2 the same?

I put 02 was bubbled in the tank…it said something about peroxide so i guess.

I didnt see any dueling scientists! I was in shock, Princeton Review lieddd

What did everyone say for the first question dealing with the two chemicals added to the swamp. It was something like over 120 if the water level was constant, what percent of the concentration…

Um i said something about the soil having a greater influence.

I said O2, but I wasn’t sure… because the oil is hydro carbons. And if you add in h2o in, you get H30, which is an acid.

Gahhhhh

I agree with O2. Was the last one the slope is higher and y intercept is zero?

^ that’s what I got, alihaq

alihaq: I put that!

Edit: I’m 3/3 for guessing. :)

no, there were like NO dueling scientist passages…unless one of them was and it wasn’t obvious…it was my first time taking it.

the one with the ball stopping, yes that was 1 AND 3.

the one with the forces applied to the beam was up/down/up because the two supports were exerting an upward force on the beam, and then the weights were exerting a downward force in the middle.

the one with the flower gene thing was cannot be determined

the one with the percentage likelihood of a certain genotype was 25%

and yes, O2 was the answer to that other question. you could tell because they discuss OXIDIZATION and because the air bubbled in was specifically described as “DRY AIR,” eliminating the possibility that it was H20.

er… any other ones that were asked about?

No. The percentage was 50%.

there was a dueling scientists, it was 3 different students

There were two percentage questions- one was 25 and the other was 50.

Technically, it was the physics one with the angular momentum, which does vary by the way, because v varies.
