^ that’s exactly what I’M saying. No one likes the wait, but that’s what we just have to do.

It’s only 2 more weeks.

I am gonna wait it out anyway…it’s more fun to view your scores the same time as everyone else. I just found that post interesting.

how is it that the scores are coming out so quickly?! i took the early december test in 2010 and i didn’t get those results until sometime around february! they told us 4 to 8 weeks but this would be less than 3 weeks! i’m not complaining haha but i guess i’m just in awe

They tell you when they are going to be mailed home… but they are online quicker obviously because its a lot quicker than putting something in the mail

yeah for sure, snail mail. the mail didn’t come last time for even longer than 4 weeks. the online results took at least 4 weeks last time. if the same amount of kids are taking it now, it seems pretty quick to get all the results up! i mean, the holidays might’ve taken some time in december, but a 17 day turn around for thousands of kids is pretty cool. just saying.

Yeah it’s definitely fast…which is a good thing! this even gets posted a few days faster than the SAT! yeah I don’t know why it took so much longer that time or if the holidays had anything to do with it. It is pretty cool though:)

I think that a lot less people take it in June

@almost there Yeah, that’s what I thought too. Confirmation, anyone?

having less people take it…how do you think that will affect the curve?

I’m not sure about the curve, but it should make the scores come in faster.

Curves are not determined by test taker’s scores. They are pre-determined when the test form is made.

really? where are you getting this info about the curves?

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/act-preparation/826983-sorry-act-has-no-curve-based-test-result.html

That’s a really good point about the curves. Thanks for mentioning it because I did not know that was the case.

I’ve heard it’s also true for the SAT - curves are determined at the time of the experimental section from the previous test.

Is everyone else still under “registered” or have you “tested”? Mine is still “registered”

EDIT: Mine now says tested nvm lol

I think the ACT is being scored alphabetically…@statlanta, what letter does your last name started with. I’m R and i’m still “registered”

I think it goes by geographic area, not alphabetically by name.

Mine says tested. I live in Illinois, and my last name begins with S, if that matters.
