Ahh I see you are new to the forum (posting at least); I like you, except Ninja Society that just screams nerd…

retaking, got a 29 october '08 hoping for 33-35, but I’m nervous for the writing, how does everyone prepare for that?

actbrah, you’re really cool.

by the way, first time taking ACT with writing. got 2230 on last SAT, hoping for 33-34.

Nooob I have 60 girlfriends that are in college (Harvard duhh), I have a rainbow belt in every kind of martial art you can fathom, I currently completed all 10 pokedexes (yeah I know I went to the future and stole them new pokemanz gamez off your mom), Harvard and Princeton are my safety colleges,

and oh yeah

I like Turtles.

Yo guys I need help on reading! Any flawless tips?
(I’m also retaking on June after my parents threatened to disown me for shaming the family with my terrible 29…)

I am taking it in June and hoping to improve from a 30 (VERY disappointing) to a 33. Any suggestions on the science portion? I usually get 33+, but when I took it for real I only got a 27 =(.
and @ innrcitypressure- I only got a 31 on reading, but I blazed through the section. I gave myself a good 11 minutes for the last section. The answers literally come out of the passage!

Man, maybe I just suck at reading T^T

InnrCityPressure, I’ll be glad to help you. A 29 on the ACT is indeed shameful. You truly are at the lowest end of society. You’d be lucky to land a job at Burger King. I hope you’re not Asian because that will bring disgrace to the Asian race for thousands of years. However, since you have all 10 pokedexes that is quite admirable and something to stay optimistic about. Even Ash, with Team Rocket on his trail, was not able to complete such a mammoth task. Keep in mind that the ACT determines your social class and who you marry in life. Anyway, enough digression! For perfect reading tips, I would recommend storing all your chakera from the previous day and saving it for this section. It will especially help you on the fiction passage. Good luck my apprentice!

^36actbrah, I see you are a pro gamer… Ever play Starcraft II? I wanna challenge you if you do!

ACTIsForMe, funny you mention that. I just bought SC2 a week or two ago. I sent you a friend request. Be warned, though: I pwn copper league.

Nice. I added you. I was sleeping when you sent that message, sorry. (How did you get my information? Look at my older posts?)

Thank you for your most knowledgeable insight, most holy, omnipotent, omniscient, master. You have aided your grasshopper immensely. For such a vermin such as I to even dream of an ACT score such as yours (assuming a 39?), would be sinful and most pretentious of me. It would be a great honor for me to work as a burger king chef, for hopefully one day, I can serve you, the most holy, omnipotent, omniscient, master, a humble burger.

With that aside, I’d like some genuine advice unlike this punk’s arrogant comment.

And good luck to the rest of the CCers on the June test!

Taking them in June for the 2nd time.

29 in Feb! going for atleast a 30 in june.

First time! I’m deathly nervous at this point, I have no idea where I stand. Tips on studying?

Got a 28 in April, shooting for a 30-32 in June. And i’ll also be taking it on September for a higher score once I see where I suck at :)

@coolapple1. Just get the red act book and mcgraw-hills 10 act practice tests

Taking it for the first time next Sat and I haven’t started studying at all (heh typical argh). What books do you guys recommend? I’m aiming for 35-36. I’ve borrowed the most recent McGraw Hill from a friend - is this sufficient for a top score?

Thanks in advance :)

Cracking the act by princeton review is great, very good stategies and good practice tests. Although if you cant get that get the red act book
