My D is in a quandary about whether to send both ACT scores in to her colleges. She took it in February and scored 32 composite, 32 E 35 M 33 R 27 science 8 (29) writing.
Retook in September and did slightly better in 2 sections but worse overall and much worse in 2 sections: 30 composite, 34 E 29 M 29 R 28 Sc and 6 (29) writing. She wasn't feeling great. Since ACT allows us to choose, is it better to send in only the first? She is applying to a few reach schools. Thx

I would just send the first. The second score does not look as good, and the slightly higher English and Science scores are not great enough to merit sending it. IMO, of course.
Also, most schools don’t superscore the ACT anyways.

If she is applying to a school that superscores ACT [Colleges that superscore the ACT College Admissions Counseling](Colleges that superscore the ACT - BS/MD Admissions by College Admissions Partners) I would send them both. Otherwise just the first one.

dude it a good score

If the college require you to provide all ACT scores, such as Stanford, then you must provide both. If not, I would send the first one unless the college superscores ACT in which case send both.

Thanks, much appreciated :-)
