Is it just me, or does the ACT math seem a lot harder than the SAT math? And doesn't the ACT reading/writing seem ridiculously easier than the SAT reading/writing? What's up with this? It seems like the exams test different strengths.

I got a 22 on the ACT and a 1410 on the SAT. I think that says which test I find harder, more annoying, and just completely redundant. Furthermore, on the ACT writing, I got a 26, whereas on the SAT II Writing, I got a 720. So... I LOVE the SAT, but hate the ACT. Heh.

ACT math's not really "harder", it just covers more stuff than SAT, though the fact that you have to do 60 minutes of it in a row without a break certainly adds to the difficulty. I personally think SAT reading's easier, though that's mainly because I's awesome at sentance completions and am pretty bad at fiction passages (which are on ACT but not SAT). They definately test different strengths, though.

Well, if they test different strengths, what kind of strength do you think the SAT tests as opposed to the ACT?
