what is the best ACT math book out there? i need one that will explain the problems and go over concepts.
i am trying to get close to a 28-30 on math.

please reply

Go to the library and ask for the test prep section. Look for an ACT math book. There isn’t many so just get any one.

My D used Preparing for the ACT Mathematics and Science Reasoning, by Robert Postman (a BIG FAT BOOK) along with The New Math SAT Game Plan by Phillip Keller, and How to Solve Word Problems in Algebra, by Mildred Johnson to raise her ACT math score by
5 points over her October score (23 official test to a 28 on retired test from red book).

D used Postman to review pre-algebra thru geometry & is working thru the algebra II & trig section since she won’t learn that until next year in 10th grade. She worked through fake practice tests then took a real test under timed conditions.

Keller’s book provides neat tricks that can be applied to many of the ACT questions while Johnson’s book reviews every type of algebra word problem through algebra II.

Good luck!
