I've taken the SAT twice and now I'm going to take the ACT on Sept. 16 to see if I can get a better score on that. I know how on the SAT, there is a page before each math section with formulas and specific stuff that you need to know for geometry questions. Do they have some type of this on the ACT? I have a practice book but it doesn't show any type of this in its math sections.

Oh, and while I'm on the subject of the ACT, I was wondering which is the hardest section in your opinions? I'm guessing for me it would be science, just because reading, english, and math seems the same type of stuff I've seen on the SAT already.

No there isn't any formulas or specifics written out in the math section- and to answer you second question I took the ACT twice and the first time i thought the reading was the hardest because I didn't time myself very well. Since you have a practice book you probably know this but the science section really only deals with your ability to read graphs and interpret information which should be easy enough but my brain was mush by the time I got to it.

I'm sure you've heard this but always answer the question because it doesn't hurt if its wrong like the SAT and for the english section (which is pretty easy anyways) don't forget to check for redundancy :)

ACT questions are easy but the biggest problem is time. The time pressure is a huge factor esp. in the science part. If you can work fast , it is very easy to get a high score. About the formulas on the SAT test booklet: If you have to look up the formulas you are probably not going to do very well on the math section.

Hardest section? Depends on the person. Work a few practice tests and see which section is the most difficult for you.

Yea, i figured that. Well, on the SAT my lowest score was critical reading both times, and I think the second time was because I answered almost every question, which really isnt that smart unless you plan on getting every one right. Math is usually the easiest for me, and English is about average. So, I'm guessing that Science will be most difficult with Reading coming in at a close second. I've been told that Science is the same concept of the reading section only with charts and diagrams instead of huge passages. Also, I guess with the whole time issue, I'll just have to know when I can't figure out the answer in reasonable time and just make a good guess.
