ACT Math

I have taken the ACT twice and cannot seem to do better than a 27 in Math.

What is the best way to improve your Math score?

Best way? Take advanced math classes throughout high school

Err I would say that the best way is to take at least a precalc class and then just buy a study book, review the concepts, and do all the practice tests you can. I went from a 31 to a 36 in math in just a month. I think the thing that helped me most was prepping for math 2 af the same time.

The best way is to take a lot of math. I took it my freshman year during Algebra II and got 25 on math then I took pre-calc my soph year and I’m in calc now for junior year and I got a 36 on the math section, not much prep.

Thanks for the advice.

I have taken all of the advanced math classes which are available at my school.
So I was hoping for some guidance regarding the most helpful supplemental materials for ACT Math Prep.

I unfortunatly found this out too late, but if you are able to take the test again I talked to someone who tutors ACT Math. She says that you need to sit down with a tutor and take multiple test. If they explain to you a couple test…any test you take is bound to have the same questions, just using different numbers. She has tutored so many kids that she can take the test and get none wrong with 10 minutes to spare. I am not saying you will be that fast…but you will know the rhythm of the test and your score will increase tremendously. I only had two half hour sessions with her and I went from a 19 to a 25. Any little bit helps!!!

the kaplan book has a great math section

Barrons: Going for the Perfect Score has a good math section, as well.
