I'm a US high school student and McGill is my first choice. I'm planning on submitting my ACT scores since I haven't taken my SAT IIs and don't plan on taking them. When I looked on the McGill website, it said the minimum acceptable score for the science portion of the ACT was a 24. I have a 22. However, I have a 35 in English, a 36 in reading, a 27 in math, and a 30 overall. My GPA is a 4.0. Would they make an exception?

A McGill rep came to my school and someone asked a similar question. She said that the minimums say that nobody got accepted with a lower score. So it is not necessarily a cut off, just a trend or baseline they noticed from the year before.

I’m a US student too so I can’t say whether is actually a “cut-off”, but you should get a prep book, do the science parts, then ratake it. Getting a 30 or so science would boost your score tremendously.
