I recently took the ACT and recieved a score of 34, which I'm extremely happy with. I've been planning on only taking the ACT though because my SAT practice tests scores are significantly lower compared to a 34 ACT score. Will only taking the ACT, and SAT Subjects Tests, hurt my chances of getting admitted into top tier schools?

No. Most of the students in the midwest only submit their ACT scores with no SAT.

If by top tier you are talking about the ivies, yes, they prefer the SAT, but will take either test. They said they’re not biased, but they pretty much are. Then again, a 34 is good enough that they probably don’t care.

I have this exact question! “Deposition”, your answer is reassuring!

No, it will not matter. The two tests are becoming universally accepted. Many claim the SAT is harder, but in reality, they are just two different tests. A 34 is a very good score and I’m sure the Ivies or whatever other schools won’t care. Good luck.

Thanks for the great advice!
