ACT Optional Writing Portion

<p>I'm currently registering for the Sept ACT and was wondering if I should take the writing portion. The college that I'm looking at, SDSU, does not factor in the writing portion.
"Or, if you took the ACT, multiply your grade point average by 200 and add ten times the composite score from the ACT. The university will not include the writing scores from either tests in the computation of the eligibility index."</p>

<p>Is there any point in still taking the writing section?</p>

<p>I think you should because chances are, you’re not ONLY going to be applying to SDSU and most colleges require the ACT plus Writing. If you take it without the writing, you’ll have to take the test again. If you take it with the writing, you’re all set.</p>
