ACT or SAT bias for admissions?

SAT: CR: 590 / Math: 560 / Writing: 620 / Essay: 10 [total = 1770/2400]
SAT II: Math II: 590 / Chemistry: 690 / U.S History: 620 [total = 1900 / 2400]
ACT: English: 26 / Math: 31 / Reading: 25 / Science: 30 [average = 28]

I’m applying ED in the fall, but am going to retake both tests either way. I’m forecasting that my ACT score will go up a lot.

Is there any kind of bias between ACT and SAT at BU? Do they prefer one over the other? I’m wondering this because according to the CB website, I’m right in the range for ACT scores, but a little off for SATs

No, either one is fine.

If you compare your ACT score to your SAT score, your ACT is better. That’s why you’re off for the SAT range. I’d just take the ACT again, and if you get a 29 or 30, you’re most likely going to be fine (assuming you have the GPA and everything else…).
