I am a U.S. student applying to Science and Arts and Science at McGill in the fall. I have already taken the SAT, but not the ACT or any Subject tests. I have been receiving scores of approx. 34 on the ACT, but only 660 or so on the Math I and Chem Subject tests on practice tests. The McGill website is unclear about what exactly the requirement is for the program. Do I have to take the subject tests, or only the ACT? And since I'm doing better on the ACT, and if i can skip out on the subject tests, should I simply cancel my registration for them, or take them anyways and submit them along with the ACT? Does McGill prefer if you've taken subject tests and the SAT or the ACT alone?

I don't know if theyre changing it for the 2008 admission cycle, but for me (I'm an incoming freshman), an ACT + writing will exempt you of having to send over your SAT II's.

Most colleges do the SAT I + 2 SAT II's OR ACT + Writing deal. The exemption being NYU, and All the Ivies minus Penn (they want 2 SAT II's regardless), to name a few.

well if u do take the ACT and get anything over a 30, i would say just send that in.
