So I'm going to be applying to every Ivy, Duke, UChicago, etc.

SAT 1: 2160 (750 CR, 720 M, 690 E) (2nd sitting)
SAT 2: 800 Math II and 800 Chemistry
ACT: 35 comp (36 E, 36 M, 35 CR, 33S) writing score is gonna come soon. Single sitting.

My question is should I send both my SATs and my ACTs in? Particularly, for Yale which requires entire testing histories from either one company. I really want to show Yale my two subject tests but I don't know if I should.

Also, I've heard Ivy's don't have a preference, but is this true? Any stories?

ACT def. I think if you took the ACT, you don’t need to send your SAT II’s. But since it’s Yale, you should send it in regardless to make yourself more competitive with other applicants. Nice stats btw.

Congrats on your scores. I think the bigger hurdle for you will be this:

“I’m going to be applying to every Ivy, Duke, UChicago, etc.”

Your unbridled pursuit of “name” schools w/o regard to what they really offer you. You realize that amongst your list are EXTREMELY different college and educational philosophies, right? You’re going to write about how Columbia is your first choice – followed by another essay about how Brown is your first choice. How are you going to do that?

Are you even AWARE of their differences? You might want to reconsider your target list…

^ That is a common issue here. Students do not really know what they want except for the fame.
For OP, you don’t need to send your SAT1 unless required. It won’t hurt though if you send both.

Thanks guys. You’re right. I’m going to do some research on their philosophies too. Particularly since I know some schools like Columbia have core, while others embrace an individualized pathway.
