ACT or SAT? or Both?

If a college states, "We accept the ACT or the SAT with SAT II's", should I take one test or take both to make myself stand out in the admissions office?

A few colleges I'm looking at with this policy are Amherst, WUSTL, and Yale if this might affect your answers.

(=

I’d recommend taking both, even if you don’t end up submitting both. The fact is, you may perform much better than the other, whether it’s just circumstance or test compatibility… Try both. (:

Great advice! That’s what I’m thinking too

I’ve taken both, which I would recommend doing

I like the ACT format better, with the exception of the science section

With so many students applying to top colleges, it’s always better to give the admissions office as much data as possible, especially if the data is complementary. For example: 2200 or above SAT 1, combined with a 34 or above ACT, and multiple 700’s or above SAT II’s.

wouldn’t it be difficult to take both?

difficult to study well for both, yes. Difficult to take both, no.
