Basically, I’m planning on going into either International Relation and/or Mathematics; the only problem is that my best math score is on the lower total exam score. On the SAT, I got a 1520 with an 800 on Math and a 720 on Reading, while on the ACT, I got a 35 composite with a 35 on Reading, a 36 on English, a 33 on Math, and a 36 on Science. What should I do? I would love to submit both, since they will show off perfects in both areas, but I heard many schools don’t like that. And since math was my lowest score on my ACT, I don’t want colleges to think that I’m bad at math if I’m applying to that field, yet my ACT composite score is regarded as “better” than my SAT composite.
Either scores are good …
You almost made a perfect score on ACT , why are you stresssing … you would have a high chance of getting accepted with either scores my friend!!
honestly, i would just submit both if you’re that worried! your sat shows expertise in math, and your act shows expertise in english. if you decide to submit only one, however, i agree you should submit just the act since it’s higher. i highly, highly doubt an admission officer will look at just your math score and say, “well… he got a 33 on the math section… that’s only in the 98th percentile and not the 99th… looks like we can’t admit him!” haha. don’t sell yourself short. you should be fine.
