ACT or SAT: Which One?

Do colleges want both the ACT or SAT? I find that the SAT is much harder, but will taking both improve my chances to entrance? And what is this talk about the SAT II? Will this look even better on my application?

[Let me google that for you](LMGTFY - Let Me Google That For You)

It depends on which areas of the test you feel you are better at. The SAT has only three sections: math, reading and a required writing section. The ACT has a science, math, reading and an optional writing section. There is a bit more to choosing which test to take besides that, and I would recommend reading this report, which offers more details: [Deciding whether to take the ACT or SAT | Aristotle Circle](http://www.aristotlecircle.com/blog/deciding-whether-take-act-or-sat)

The thing about the ACT science part, though, is that you don’t actually have to know any science at all – you only have to know how to quickly read tables and graphs.

Personally, I felt the ACT was much easier (and shorter!)
