Whats the difference between the two. Which one do people typically do better on if they are extremely logical thinkers (like myself)?

The only way to find out is to take both and see for yourself. It varies by person. The SAT gives you more time but has slightly more difficult questions. It also starts out with the essay. It does NOT have a science reasoning portion. The ACT has a science portion and ends with the essay, which is optional. The ACT is mostly administered across the MidWest while the SAT is universal.

OH ok thanks im from the midwest (minnesota) so do most colleges accept both??

Depends on the college, but yes. Go to the college to which you’re applying to’s website, look under admissions and there’s bound to be something about which one they accept and recommend. Midwest schools tend to favor ACT while East Coast schools like SAT. But they really can’t discriminate based on which one you take if they say they accept both.

Yes, the majority of colleges accept both. Some require the writing section of the ACT, and others may require sat subject tests. You should double check what you need for the schools you are applying to.
