Hi, I was wondering if it would be easier to study for the ACT or the SAT. I'm thinking that it might be easier to study for the ACT since it's curriculum i have learned. But i'm also thinking that they are both equally hard..so does anyone know?

The ACT is all about speed and it is actually not that hard...but the time constraints kill b/c you can't finish
The SAT i think is harder than the ACT b/c it has more complex questions

Thanks Sr6622, Which prep book do u guys think is the best for the ACT

The best prep books would probably be the actual ACT book, im not too sure about the Kaplan or Princeton Review books...
from what i've heard....the reading section got a little harder

Thanks sr..I dont know if i should sign up for the June ACT. Will i have enough time to prep(being that i have ap test and everything)

I prefer the SAT. The Writing-type MC kills me on both, the Math and Science on the ACT were easy imho compared to the SAT Math, but I found the CR on the ACT harder. Of course, I also couldn't stand reading the first CR passage on the ACT, so that probably messed me up.

edit: also, the ACT makes you write the essay last, which really sucks after 3+ hours of testing.

Man i hate these standardized test!!! haha so what prep book do you guys think will be the best?

i took the act on saturday and it was a joke compared to the sat. mostly you just have to distribute your time wisely during science and reading. the act sciene has nothing to do with curriculum it's a mixture of charts and graph interp and reading comprehension. if you have problems with time, go with the sat. you can kinda gauge what the act's about from their practice tests: http://www.actstudent.org/sampletest/index.html

thanks a lot for the link deus. The ACT seems like a better fit for me? Still...CAN ANYBODY RECOMMEND ANY PREP BOOKS?

oh yea the satuarday act was a joke...so easy.

I reccomend the actual act official guide. PR's I've heard is terrible, and this one boded well for me

act is easy!! i just took one... well, now since the watering down of the sat, who knows?

Can Anybody Recommend A Book!!!!

Get the official ACT book.

Caliplaya, I did much better on my ACT than SAT. My ACT score was a 31 and my SAT score was a 1250. 31, I believe, is converted to a 1380 or somewhere around there. I am from the Midwest, and here our teachers take time to teach us about the ACT. Also, I took Kaplan for the ACT so that could explain my higher score. I just don't like all the reading and english parts on the SAT because you need to know vocab. In my opinion, ACT is much more straight-forward and much more predictable.

Get the "The Real ACT Prep Guide" with 3 real practice tests. You have enough time to prep, you don't need to prep, just go quickly and accurately.

Ok thanks guys for the help. Gigante, I dont need to prep? So should i just work on what i'm weak in?
