ACT or SAT?

I have a friend who is international from China.. She is interested in coming to AMerica for college (most likely a fairly top ranked college).... Her english is pretty decent but she will take the TOEFL. However, she's confused on which test to take. Do US colleges have a preference on which test she takes, or should she just take whatever test she finds easier? Also, I notice that the SAT is 66% english while the ACT doesn't have as much English.

All colleges accept scores from both exams. Your friend should take whichever exam she is more comfortable with.

The SAT is 67% English, the ACT 60%. Not that big a difference in volume, but as you probably know the two exams have different foci. The ACT stresses grammar while the SAT puts an emphasis on vocab. I also felt time-pressured on the ACT which was not an issue on the SAT.

alright, thanks! :]
