Today I took an ACT diagnostic and got a 32 on it. I got a 36 on English, 32 on Math, 29 on Reading, and 29 on Science. I’m taking the ACT in 2 months and am really aiming for a 34. When I went and reviewed all my errors, I made really stupid mistakes. For Math I could have gotten a 34 and Science I could have gotten a 32. Last time I took a diagnostic I got a 35 on Reading and I was very surprised with English. I made a really rigid study plan for the upcoming 2 months so do you guys think it is possible to raise it to a 34? Any suggestions on how to raise it? I am bad with the stamina part since I tend to get a lot more distracted and tired as the test goes on. Any suggestions?
In 2 months for a 2+ increase? DEFINITELY possible!!
For stamina, I’ve found that if you start to get a little tired, sit up straight. This tends to wake you up a little bit. Practice, practice, practice this with official practice tests, and I’m sure you’ll start to improve in that
For mistakes, don’t just brush them off as “mistakes.” Review every answer that you got wrong and re-approach (i.e. retry the question and go through the steps to get the right answer, engrave in your brain basically the steps you need to take to avoid that mistake again). I too make lots of mistakes, but if you just brush them off as silly mistakes you’ll likely make them again. Good luck!
