ok, so…my SAT Reasoning is this Saturday and I’m flipping out. I have really good subject test scores and I want colleges to see them, but if for some reason I bomb the Sat 1, I was planning on taking the ACT.

Now, my concern is that on the Brown website it says it will accept the ACT or the SAT with 2 subject tests. Does that mean that I can not send in the ACT with subject tests? Do the two have to be mutually exclusive?

Because if I do take the ACT, do better on it than the SAT, and submit that, I don’t want to have to give up my chance to show my subject test scores.

Any thoughts?

Don't stress about any of it! Thats the only "bad" thing you could do. Send them all, they'll look at your best regardless. I sent both ACT and SAT tests personally. A bad testing day won't keep you out of Brown any more than a good test day will get you in - just do as well as you can! I promise you, passionate essays and an application that brings out the best in you will get you noticed by an admissions committee, scores won't! Read up on some of "modestmelody" 's posts, he knows what he's talking about! (not to mention dozens more that hang around here too)

You can submit ACT only without subject tests. Of course, you can submit the subject tests as well. If you're worried about your SAT 1, why not send the subject test scores to Brown now? That way they will not see your SAT 1 score unless you're happy with it and decide to send it after you see your score.
