ACT Post-College Applications

So college applications are all out the door, sent away, and now the wait begins. However, I do have an inquiry as to the benefits of post-applications ACT testing. Considering I only took the ACT upon a whim and did not study at all, nor reviewed for any of the material, I still managed to pull off a reasonable score of 30. While this isn't over-the-top fantastic, I was pleased. Nevertheless, I now find myself wondering if I should take the ACT again, with actual studying and review this time, and take the test again for scholarships.

Does this even sound reasonable? Or does my need to satiate my pride just making up idiotic reasons?

Thanks for whatever response you can put forth.

If you can get scholarships, I would definitely suggest you retake it.

Would it be useful considering I would not get my scores until late February?
