Yeah, I got back early because I didn't do the writing section :)
We can start posting around 2-3ish

Im back and I took the writing.

The Reading is all I'm worried about. I think this is going to be a new high score for me.

Science was too wordy and reading was surprisingly interesting this time around, sort of. Writing prompt was sweet.

Science was pretty bad...I had to guess on the final 3 because I basically ran out of time.

Reading also felt rushed and I had to guess on several of the questions.

Math was pretty easy, English seemed really easy.

English, Math, and Science went well - I had extra time to check.

On reading, I had to rush the redwood passage.

I really hate Economics replacing my History....

Almost everything on today's ACT was recycled. I recognized everything (having taken it 5 time before). I had an incredible headache, though, so I couldn't concentrate for crap. I don't think I broke 30. I'm fine with the 29 I've already made, though.

wow, I usually can get a 34/35 on my reading with 5 minutes to spare, but this time it was suprisingly really hard. The economics passage sucked, as did the redwood. Feckers.

The essay was AWESOME though. Any one here could write a book on it haha

I think we can talk about it...
Writing was so easy, I'm sure i got a 36...

Math, harder, but still in the 30's...

Reading, not too bad... didn't finish like the last 2 questions...

SCIENCE WAS SO BAD!!!! I guessed on like all of them..I'm done with it though, I'm going back to the SAT's.. haha

what did you guys put for what was not a reason for bouncing the red ball? because of silence?

ugh, i had the perfect answer for the essay, but i tanked it. i wrote something out in 8 min. then i crosssed it out and started over. i got a 3 for sure. damn, it was so easy too. oh well. also science sucked.

anyone remember any answers? Im desperate to see if I got anything right! haha

The one about the bouncing red ball...I think I put the answer choice about him not having friends because all the other choices were true, weren't they? The last paragraph said it made him imagine the business people in suits or something, so that imagination choice couldn't be right. The paragraph that first spoke of the red ball talked about how he used to do it to his sister's singing. It also stated that his mom wanted to pay a neighborhood boy to bounce it because she was used to the noise, so the choice about breaking the silence wasn't right, either. That left the one about him not having any friends, so I chose it.

I think I made in the 30's in math and english, but in the low 20s in science and reading :-(

I remember one of the answers to the questions was that the essay did not say that he was lonely up until age 9...

it wasnt to break the silence though, it was in order to remember him... bleh your probally right though, damned.

what about the width of the tree.

it started off wide, and then got narrower right?

and what happens if their are more whitepines and fur trees?

more whitepines+fur=bad for the redwood trees

I know for a fact that the passage about red woods was recycled. I remembered the questions (but not the answers, unfortunately) before even seeing them. I don't remember what I marked on those, though. I guessed on pretty much all of the reading and science. I'm so screwed on today's test. I'm glad a 29 is the minimum score to qualify me for some upper-level scholarships...

hmm science sucked..and proctor sucked..she was helping kids w/ the essay ***..and she never read any directions and never said start/stop...she just put the time on the board..very unorganized - uhm for the whitepine things...I put either C or D...it said that they stopped the growth..since fire actually enhanced the growth by dropping the seeds..so it was whatever answer that pertained to stopping growth...I didn't read that passage and went straight to the questions and suprisingly found the answers real easily...most of them were in the passage word for word...but I still think I didn't do as well as I though I would..err science..guessed the whole last section lol...and reading prolly not too great either...math I probably got a few wrong :-\ and english a few.

what was the main purpose of the economics passage? to say that fiscal policy is good but screwed up by politicians not participating?
