ACT practice questions

Hello,

I am going to be a sophomore and my school does ACT testing and I decided to just find some sample questions to see how hard this stuff really is, I think I can hold a 3.7-3.8uw gpa. Although I tend to be decent at testing, I'm just lazy:/

So today I tried to answer a decent chunk of the questions from each of the categories on the website "<a href="http://www.actstudent.org/sampletest/">http://www.actstudent.org/sampletest/</a>" and well, I found it fairly easy, espically the math and english sections. I'm not sure how true those practice questions are to the real thing. and how is it graded? I know it is all comparative and curved and such, so let's say I average 9 out of 10. What composite score would that typically be?

Thanks

The practice test/questions on the ACT website are on the easy side of the questions you will see on the actual test – at least that is what I have experienced. There are similar types of questions on the actual ACT. However, I would warn you against becoming overconfident based on those questions. I remember thinking the same thing and then I took the June ACT and – well – it was a lot harder.

I thought they had a way to calculate your score on the website. 9 out of 10 really doesn’t help in calculating scores because it depends on the section and the curve. Best of luck to you! Are you planning on taking the test in September?

Thank you Smokymtngirl, I appreciate your response.
I’m not overconfident at all, I just saw those questions and thought they seemed a bit easyier then what I expected.

I havn’t thoroughly looked through the website and so far I have not found a way to calculate my score.

I am not yet planning on taking the test in semptember. That’ll be the begining of my sophmore year so I’m not sure.
