This morning I took a timed ACT practice test off the Mcgraw hill cd and got a 33, but when i took the real ACT last June I got a 30. How accurate are practice test scores? I'm retaking in October...

just use the real ACT practice tests.
The ones from other places are going to be different. For some,, it might be a bit easier, for others it might be a little harder. So just use the real ACT practice tests
there is like one online
3 in the book
and a new practice tests in the registration booklets every year
so you can easily get 5-6 tests.

" and a new practice tests in the registration booklets every year
so you can easily get 5-6 tests."

What? Where? How?

we can grab free ones from the office
they have the registration booklet stuff for all the standardized tests/
5-6 test TOTAL (includeing the book and stuff)
i got a ACT booklet last year
and got another one this school year
+3 from book
1 from online
that is 6 total
and more than enough for ACT since everything is straightforward and practicing won't help that much as long as you get the times down.

SAT is another story.. grrr

Office? Specifically your school?

all school should have them
they are the tests registration booklets... what they use before people can sign up on the internet or for standby testing registeration.

I live in canada. Do u know if the tests are available on the internet?

no, they are not available on the internet

Does anyone have them in the pdf format? rainynightstarz hook me up brother! This is my last chance to take the ACT this year!

Do you live in the US?
if so , i can mail you one of my copies

(gosh.. i am soo nice xP)

lol! Yes, you are too nice. I think it would be a bit of a hassle and I would have to owe you too much if you sent it through mail, so it's all good. Thank you though.

But really, it is not too much trouble
i got lots of left over stamps from making packets for teachers who are writing recs for me

so if you do want it, don't worry about the hassle part, just pm me your address. My school have way to many and end up throwing boxes of them out at the end of the year.

I live like just across the border (Canada)
do u think if i go to a high school and ask they'll get mad

lol i have NO practice tests left and im taking the test in October!
&& how should i ask them

You should be like: "YO I NEED A PRACTICE TEST!"
I think you should just buy one.

yeah well i bought al lthe ones there are out there.. but apparently there's more like schools have 5-6 administered tests.... Do u guys know if the ACT tests are with the registration booklets?

Ways to get real ACTS:
-The official practice test from your guidance
-Possibly last years- they still might have them
-This book has 3. Tests are great, strategies are crap.
-Take them! Best indicator. Some start at sophmore year. You get to "pick and choose" with the ACT, so if you bomb, no college even has to know that you took the ACT before junior year.*

*Before doing this, make sure that your school doesn't include all scores on the transcript- for most people, it's true.
