ACT Prep Books?

I took the ACT in the Spring last year, I got a 27 (English-30; Math-24; Reading-30; Science-25; Essay-9) and am going to take it again either in the Fall or Winter of my Senior year. I didn't really use any prep books just a few review CD's (they weren't very good). But I was wondering which Prep books are the best for studying and has good tips for the test? I've heard the Red book is good, but what else? Also, does anyone know/recommend any prep books for the Math and Science portions?

Thanks!

For books, I’d suggest Barron’s 36… I’m using it right now, and I think it’s really good. ^.^ PR’s 1296 ACT questions is also good to get… Besides those 2, the red book as you already mentioned (for practice tests mainly). Get the 3rd edition btw! The 2nd edition only has 3 practice tests, but the 3rd has 5.

Also, here’s some other stuff that may be helpful.
