ACT prep for math and science?

I scored really low in math and science on my last ACT and if I could bring those up the next time I test (in a month), I think it would help out my score a lot. I know there are a lot of prep books and and websites, but what are the best online resources to use for studying that are free and actually work? I'm not really sure how to go about studying for something like this and this is pretty much my last time to take the test since I'll be sending out my applications right after getting my scores back.

And what is the best way to improve on the essay section?

ummm… I got a 35 on math, and am improving in science. For math, i jus did practice tests and used the 500 ACT math questions to know by test day, by Mc-Graw Hill. I am naturally good at Math, got a 99 in class, Canadian system, so that is considered “■■■■! How’d you do that!”. For science, just calm down when your doing the section, I used to panic, remem, just a test. Do the 5-6-7 thing. For the 5, jus skip to the questions. For the 6, jus skim thru the passage, underline any formula’s, you cud try to read questions first. For 7, just read the question, then passage, answer, then the 2nd question, then passage, then answer. I just got the Casio fx-300 ES Plus, i find it good, you cud try that calc out too.

Take practice exams.

There are two available for free from the same people who write the ACT exam. See <a href=“ACT Test Preparation | Test Prep Resources | ACT”>1 and 2 below. I know you are looking for free, but you should also consider buying the Real ACT prep guide which is put out by the same group and can be purchased for ~$20, way less than the cost of the exam.

Basically take a practice exam, grade it, then go over the problems that you missed and figure out how to do them correctly. This is the best way to study for the ACT, and honestly one of the best ways to improve at almost anything in life.
